On December 26, 2023, the Austin Police Department's 9â1â1 operators hoped for a tranquil day following the Christmas holiday. The festive spirit typically brings feelings of joy and connection among friends and family.
However, at approximately 1:20 PM, that expectation was shattered when a call came in reporting a "man with a rifle shooting in the parking lot of Harris Ridge Apartment Complex at 1501 East Howard Lane near Dessau Road in Austin, Texas."
Upon their arrival, security footage captured the suspect, Konrad Farad Khorshahian, 63, brandishing a weapon toward APD officers Andrew Horne and Brian Epps. The suspect screamed, "Shoot me, shoot me mother fâ-ers," as the officers exited their vehicles. Officer Horne quickly informed dispatch that the man had aimed a gun at them, noting that it might be a BB gun.
