The Ultimate Camera: iPhone SE 2 - Always Within Reach

The Best Camera: Always at Hand

There's a popular adage that states, "The best camera is the one you have with you." In this installment of “The Best Camera Is…” we highlight some of the remarkable photographs captured by the most convenient camera I had on hand—from the summer of 2020 to the present, that camera has been the iPhone SE 2.

As my reliance on this portable device grew, my primary focus remained on its camera capabilities. Camera enhancements appeared to evolve more from software updates rather than significant changes in hardware, which suited my photography needs just fine. While a multi-lens configuration would have been ideal, my primary creative equipment continued to be a DSLR, with the iPhone serving as my go-to for spontaneous moments when my DSLR wasn’t accessible.

With a rise in video usage and an increase in panoramic shots, I took a hiatus from photography in 2021 to concentrate on work. Below are a few examples showcasing the potential of Apple's most affordable smartphone.
