Chapter 1: Introduction to "Are You Out There"
The literary landscape is buzzing with the emergence of a new publication titled "Are You Out There," spearheaded by my friends Kathy K and Graham Cooke, along with editors Ginger Cook, Doa Demir, and B A Little. This platform is dedicated to all writers, inviting everyone to contribute their works.
A MESSAGE FROM THE EDITOR:
"Are You Out There" welcomes writers from all walks of life. If you're seeking a platform to share your creations, this is the perfect venue. The publication aims to provide a space for writers to showcase their latest works while also accepting applications from writers, followers, and even editors. Additionally, mentoring opportunities are available for those new to editing.
My previous publications, "New Writers Welcome" and "What is love to you?", have successfully hosted competitions that not only raise awareness but also engage with emerging writers in a fun and supportive manner. Starting out can be challenging, and I encourage you to support these initiatives.
Section 1.1: The Competition Unveiled
The "Are You Out There" publication has launched its own competition, complete with enticing cash prizes. I don’t wish to overshadow their efforts, so I will include the link below for your convenience.
Check out the exciting prize offerings!
You have the option to submit entries in either fiction or non-fiction categories—why not try your hand at both? Personally, I've only penned one fictional piece, but I might just take this opportunity to explore it further.
Subsection 1.1.1: The Value of Feedback
Receiving feedback on your writing is incredibly valuable. Often, we believe our work is flawless, but constructive criticism is essential for honing our skills.
Section 1.2: Guidelines for Participation
As you prepare to enter a writing competition, it's vital to review the publication rules. These guidelines are typically straightforward and can save editors a significant amount of time if followed correctly.
Best of luck to everyone participating; I eagerly anticipate reading your submissions!
Chapter 2: My YouTube Channel and Support
In addition to my writing endeavors, I invite you to explore my YouTube channel for more insights and updates on the writing journey.
The first video, "Dar Williams 'Are You Out There?' // SiriusXM - YouTube," delves into the themes of connection and presence that resonate deeply within the writing community.
The second video, "Are You out There - YouTube," further explores the significance of reaching out and finding one’s voice in the literary world.
