# Effective Gluten-Free OTC Remedies for Your Health Needs

Chapter 1: Introduction to Gluten-Free Products
Finding gluten-free over-the-counter (OTC) products can be quite challenging, as many medications and supplements often contain gluten along with various harmful additives. Frequently, syrups, tablets, and capsules incorporate inactive ingredients, fillers, binders, and dyes that may include gluten.
In addition to artificial flavors and colorings, common harmful components used by manufacturers include parabens, preservatives, PEG (propylene glycol), disodium EDTA, and sorbitol. Those with gluten sensitivities might find themselves feeling worse after consuming products that are meant to alleviate their symptoms.
Here are some of my preferred gluten-free and chemical-free, non-GMO, USDA organic products from Genexa, a reputable company known for its clean and effective product range. Genexa, based in Los Angeles, is a certified B corporation dedicated to sustainable sourcing and renewable packaging. For more detailed information on their product offerings, visit Genexa’s official website.
Their extensive product line includes solutions for pain relief, allergy management, homeopathic treatments, digestive and sleep aids, stress relief, and cough/cold remedies. Their formulations are simple, making them suitable for both children and adults.
Chapter 2: Featured Product – Genexa's Liquid Acetaminophen
For instance, Genexa’s liquid acetaminophen for children contains only safe and recognizable ingredients: organic agave syrup, organic blueberry flavor, natural citrus extract, non-GMO flavoring, purified water, and acetaminophen. It’s a clean formulation that parents can trust.
Genexa products are available at various retailers, including Target, Rite Aid, Walmart, Vitacost, Amazon, and iHerb, among others. Availability may differ, with some local stores offering limited selections while online platforms provide a wider range.
This first video discusses the importance of gluten-free supplements and personal products, featuring insights from Garret Forshee and Erin McDonnell.
Genexa's Kids’ Allergy product is another favorite of mine. It effectively alleviates allergy symptoms, providing peace of mind as it is gluten-free.
This children's allergy syrup contains 12.5 milligrams of diphenhydramine (the active ingredient in Benadryl) per 5 milliliters. What I find remarkable is its minimal ingredient list, consisting of organic agave syrup, citrus extract, purified water, and diphenhydramine HCL.
It’s refreshing to see such a concise and healthy ingredient list. The recommended dosage for adults and children over 12 is 10–20 milliliters (25–50 milligrams) per administration, while children aged 6 to under 12 should take 5–10 milliliters (12.5–25 milligrams). It is not recommended for children under 2 years of age.
This product can be administered every 4–6 hours, with a maximum daily limit of six doses. For children aged 2 to 6, it should only be given as directed by a healthcare professional. Users should be aware of potential side effects, such as sedation, especially when alcohol is consumed, as well as the increased risk of injury while operating machinery or driving.
The second video focuses on gluten sensitivity symptoms and side effects, providing valuable information for those affected.
Chapter 3: My Experience with Genexa’s Kids’ Allergy
I have found Genexa’s Kids’ Allergy syrup to be effective against itchy eyes and nasal congestion. Though the syrup is somewhat thick due to the agave, adding a little water can make it easier to swallow. It has a pleasant taste and should be well shaken before each use. Both the allergy syrup and the acetaminophen are excellent products.
For those who are gluten-sensitive, it’s crucial to read labels carefully and look for the gluten-free designation, as companies frequently change their formulations. If a product does not explicitly state that it is gluten-free, it likely contains gluten.
