Writing by hand places me outside my comfort zone. The sight of my uneven penmanship sprawled across a page can be unnerving. Embracing discomfort, I took my leather-bound LEUCHTURM1917 notebook to the beach to confront my fears.

Although both methods take you from one point to another, swimming can feel meditative, while wakeboarding often feels faster and more exhilarating. This distinction also applies to how we choose to write and ultimately depends on personal preference.
