More Than 100 Followers in Just One Month: A Simple Guide

Chapter 1: Understanding Followers
Gaining followers on social media might seem challenging, but it’s more achievable than you think.
According to my experience on this platform, after about a year of intermittent writing, I amassed around 800 followers. I’ve never prioritized follower count, as I believe that having more followers doesn't necessarily translate into increased views. However, I’ve observed that many others place significant importance on their follower numbers. The frequent mention of “follow for follow” on Medium makes me question whether writers believe their visibility and earnings hinge on a large following. In reality, the frequency and quality of your posts play a more crucial role in attracting views.
Section 1.1: The Importance of Frequency
Let’s be honest: posting only once or twice a month won’t cut it. While I won’t dictate how often you should post—that's your decision based on your availability—regularly sharing content is vital to gain followers. People are more likely to follow you if they know they can expect new content from you soon, especially if they enjoy what you create.
Looking back at my posts, it’s evident that January was my most productive month, during which I unexpectedly gained 138 followers. I didn’t realize this until weeks later, but I recognized that my increased output was the key to my success.
Section 1.2: The Role of Quality
Next up is quality, which is essential. If your content is poorly written or overly complex, followers won’t stick around. When discussing facts, studies, or research, always provide sources; otherwise, your credibility may come into question. Additionally, approach potentially controversial topics with care. Your tone and language can significantly impact how your message is received, so review your work multiple times to ensure it resonates positively.
Now, go ahead and start writing! Put forth your best effort, enjoy the process, and best of luck!
